How do you capture the character of a place over time?

Over several years, I've worked with Smith Fork Ranch, a luxury guest ranch in Colorado's West Elk Mountains, creating photography and films that capture the landscape, people, and experiences that define the property.

The work has taken me across the ranch and through the changing seasons, from horseback rides in the high country and fly fishing on quiet streams to mornings around the stables and evenings by the fire. Rather than simply documenting accommodations and amenities, the goal has been to convey what it feels like to spend time here.

The resulting collection of imagery has become a central part of Smith Fork Ranch's visual storytelling, appearing across its website, advertising, editorial features, social media, and luxury travel partnerships.

Built over multiple productions, the work offers a portrait of the ranch that goes beyond any single season or campaign, reflecting the character of the place and the experiences that make it unique.
