Keep Colorado Wild

Colorado Parks & Wildlife | Statewide Conservation Campaign

How do you inspire millions of people to care for the places they love?

Commissioned by Colorado Parks & Wildlife, I photographed the statewide Keep Colorado Wild campaign, creating the visual identity for one of Colorado's largest public awareness initiatives. Designed to encourage stewardship of the state's parks and public lands while introducing the Keep Colorado Wild Pass, the campaign highlights the connection between outdoor recreation, conservation, wildlife protection, and public access. The pass supports Colorado's state parks, wildlife conservation, search and rescue, avalanche safety, and outdoor education programs.

Rather than relying on traditional advertising imagery, our approach focused on authentic moments that reflected how Coloradans experience the outdoors. Across mountains, forests, rivers, deserts, and state parks, the photographs celebrated the diversity of people and landscapes that define Colorado while reinforcing the shared responsibility of protecting them.

The resulting imagery became the foundation of the campaign, appearing on billboards, statewide advertising, digital media, print materials, social campaigns, and educational resources. By pairing compelling photography with a simple message of stewardship, the work helped communicate Colorado Parks & Wildlife's vision of keeping public lands accessible, resilient, and wild for future generations.
