How do you capture the character of a place in just a few pages?

Over multiple assignments for Hemispheres, United Airlines' award-winning inflight magazine, I photographed cover stories and destination features across North America and Central America. From the glaciers and coastal wilderness of Alaska to the forests of Idaho, the geothermal landscapes of Yellowstone, the mountains of Colorado, and the tropical shores of Belize, each assignment sought to tell a story that extended far beyond a travel guide.

Working closely with editors and writers, I approached every destination as a documentary assignment, balancing iconic landscapes with quieter moments that revealed the people, culture, and experiences that make each place unique. Whether photographing luxury lodges, local communities, wildlife, or the landscapes themselves, the goal was always to create imagery that invited readers to experience a destination rather than simply admire it.

The resulting photography has appeared on multiple magazine covers and throughout editorial features, inspiring travelers through visual storytelling while helping define the publication's distinctive approach to destination journalism.
